Ever Wondered If You Are A Premature Ejaculator?
Maybe you have been thinking about this issue lately but are not
sure if this could be happening to you.
It's quite embarrassing to
be an early quitter in many fields but even more when it is
directly related to your regular sex
life; so it's perfectly normal if
you feel worried about how you are doing lately when having sex
with your partner, who may be already complaining about not feeling
completely satisfied by you.
If you feel like a loner with a big secret problem, there are no
reasons you should feel like that, you are not alone with this
condition. In fact, among the number of problems related with the
sexual
health of many
men, researchers have found that
Premature Ejaculation is the most common sexual problem
occurring to a great number of men around the world; this is a
pathology characterized by a lack of voluntary control over
ejaculation. Researchers, Masters and Johnson have stated that a
man suffers from premature ejaculation if he ejaculates before
his partner has achieved orgasm in more than fifty percent of
his sexual encounters.
Other sex researchers have defined
premature ejaculation giving more emphasis to time and defining
this condition as occurring if the man ejaculates within two
minutes of penetration; however, a survey by Alfred Kinsey, made
in the 1950s demonstrated that three quarters of men ejaculated
within two minutes of penetration in over half of their sexual
encounters, so in reality there is not a precise timing we can
use to
define a premature
ejaculator.
Today, most sex therapists understand premature ejaculation as
occurring when a lack of ejaculatory control interferes with sexual
or emotional well-being in one or both partners. And it is known
that about thirty percent of men around the world suffer from
premature ejaculation on a consistent basis.
The statistics of the premature ejaculation condition are as
follows:
Frequency: In the US the prevalence rate of PE in American males
is estimated to range from 30-70%.
Internationally: Estimates for European countries and India mirror
the prevalence in the United States. The prevalence in other parts
of Asia, Africa, Australia, and elsewhere is unknown.
Mortality/Morbidity: No known direct morbidity or mortality
results from premature ejaculation.
Race: No reproducible data exist on major differences between
racial groups with respect to the incidence or prevalence of
PE.
Sex: PE is a condition that only affects males.
