Feb 18, 2005 (AXcess News) Hollywood - Actor, comedian Bill
Cosby gets off sex charges for the second time.
The Montgomery
County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr dropped sex charges
against Cosby citing insufficient evidence to charge him with
sexual assault.A a former Temple University employee now
living in Toronto told police that
Cosby had drugged her after a night out with friends in January
2004 and that when she awoke her bra was missing, accusing Cosby of
having sexually abused her, fondling her breasts. Montgomery County
district attorney Castor, commenting about the sex charges brought
against Bill Cosby, said in a post on his website that authorities
found insufficient credible, and admissible evidence upon which any
charge against Mr.
Cosby could be sustained beyond a reasonable
doubt.
Castor said that the woman had contact with Cosby after the
sexual abuse allegedly took place and that it had been a year since
then, making her credibility questionable in order to charge the
actor for a sex crime.
The attorney representing the woman, Dolores M. Troiani, said
her client could seek civil charges against Cosby for sexual
abuse.
Cosby's lawyer, Walter M. Phillips Jr., said "Mr. Cosby looks
forward to moving on with his
life.
"The woman accusing Cosby
of sexual abuse was not named publicly.

Cosby is a Temple University alumnus and booster of the
school.
Troiani said her client gave prosecutors tapes of telephone
calls between Cosby and the family that bolster the sexual abuse
charges. The calls occurred after her client contacted police, the
lawyer said.
None the less, Castor will not bring sex charges
against the 67-year-old actor.
